Autosave password in firefox

Is it possible to set firefox to automatically save any passwords inputted , instead of the prompt that appears at the top of the page?

I ask this question solely for my own peace of mind as my eldest daughter is frequenting with some (to me and the wife anyway) odd friends who use social networking sites and i'm not 100% happy with them , just a hunch (as all fathers get i suppose) and i don't want her straying into anything sinister. I have looked in ..tools>options>security for the saved passwords but none of her passwords are there , obviously she is not saving them for easier use and also ringing more alarm bells for me.

Basically all i want to do is have a look at these sites and settle my mind , one way or the other.

Is there an ADD-ON or program that records every password entered on firefox or only the "remember me" button?

there is mate, I use it all the time. Well except for a week and then I switched it on again as I couldn't remember any of the passwords! I personally use "Sxipper" VERY good at remembering ALLSORTS! But not sure you can have it working in the background? It pops up at all opportunities and stores a HUGE amount of info! It can be a little annoying in fact and the reason I switched it off. BUT as I say I had to turn it back on again!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

it not sure it can without asking also some security progs not only wipe your history but most other things as well so they may stop passwords being saved

but "hacking " is a popular pastime so no doubt plenty of background progs will do the job (you may have one running unknown to you now) that will do the job

had i kids myself i wouldnt let them near a pc unless its monitored by you all the time ,i have first hand experience (well my sis has) of her stepdaughter being lured by older men ,luckily in this case just 5 years older but she ran off with him when she was 14 ,was classed as "missing" and turned up a year later with a sprog.

good parents!!!! but a case of hormones and stubbornness we all have at that age.

yes she could have done the same at school etc but the www has millions of people and many of them not the type you want your kids to meet.

she went back to the chap and now has 2 sprogs but not a good lifestyle :(

i remember at the time going through her pc trying to find where she had been browsing but matey must have been very careful and nothing was found no emails either so well planned, nowadays its easier with purpose built software i expect to reveal it all .
