Ostrich Recipes.

Hiya, I was at the Farmers Market in Falkirk yesterday,and bought some Ostrich Steaks, after last years trip to Holland, I will/can eat anything.... ask Alan about Raw Herring ,Horse,etc etc ,so does anyone have a recipe for Ostrich steak that they can recommend, I can get plenty off the web, but want one that someone has tried and enjoyed....

Please hurry....I'm starving....

I haven't got a recipe Norrie, but I can tell you you're in for a treat. Cooked correctly, it will be better in texture than the finest fillet steak, and the taste? To quote our Antipodean friend "MAGNIFICENT!!

just get it in the frying pan or under the grill mate, season it well first. it has quite a strong flavour, so doesnt need anything more than some salt and black pepper.

Any fillet steak recipe works well for ostrich. Mind you, I couldn't eat a whole one !
