Help please, I want to catch an English bass-)

Hi all,

 

This is my first post here so my apologies in advance if I seem like a dork!!.....I happen to be holidaying in Cornwall from 26th Sept - Oct 5th and, whilst I will be on family duty most of the time, Im sure I can sneak away for a couple of hours coinciding with high/low tides . Im a regular shore angler around the west of ireland and would be happy to exchange any knowledge should anyone require advice etc. Im hoping to get some information about bass fishing around West/South Corwall. I will be based in St Ives. Thanks guys

Unfortunately Brussels has decided you must be British or have Grandfathers' Rights (Belgies/French/Spain/Poland/ Lithuania/ Estonia/Mozambique/and Tobago) before you can fish fer British bass in our waters.

 

So, I'm afraid you are stuffed.

Hi irishdude,welcome to the Forum. Sorry I cannot help you here as I too am from Ireland. I am sure the members here will give you the same help and advice we give to UK anglers coming over here to enjoy our bass fishing.

To catch a Bass go Mullet fishing, this year around 14 Mullet days fishing = 2 Mullet and 6 Bass ! All on bread.

I seem to catch more bass than mullet too.
