Timsbury AN Annual Grayling fish in

As I'm coming in my Subaru fishing wagon, I'll be bringing everything I might possibly want. In fact, given that every previous trip has involved worrying about ground clearance and getting stuck, I'm looking forward to not caring!

There is a new entrance to the fishery see my earlier post I think we now enterthrough the Garden centre further down the road and park on the tarmac.

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

I'm fairly tempted to bring the new bivvy, bung a couple of bolt-rigged maggot rigs out for the roach and settle down with hot fresh coffee and bacon rolls. With a careful roll cast, I could even fly fish from it.

I'm bringing my usual 'go anywhere' fishing car. Tarmac, mud or grass, it's all the same. Steve's seen it, he knows what I'm talking about.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

That's just typical, I get myself a lumbering old four wheel drive barge and now you tell me I don't need it!

If you do that, I shall take photographs and put them up on a particularly snotty fly fishing forum I read - I reckon I could kill a few of the more excitable members that way :D

Yep, that goes anywhere. You've not seen my 600 quid Subaru yet, have you?

That's such a good idea! We could scatter a few stella cans around too. I can imagine the tweeded ones going utterly mental  They get angry enough at the mention of a downstream dry, or even - gasp - a nymph (you have to spit that particular word out), but as for a bivvy...! :D

It does go anywhere. With my AA membership it is also guarenteed to make it back. I'm looking forward to a game of Skoda vs Subaru top trumps!

You'll wish that you had bought everything.

And left what you don't use back in the car.

But why the lighter fuel Chavender? Not thinking of cheating at the Kelly Kettle Challenge are you?

And the three pairs of sunglasses all with different colour lenses? It'll be p@ssing down.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

the lighter fuel is for me peacock-handwarmer ,but if needs must :o

they're my Polaroids ,amber for average light levels ,gray for bright sunshine /mid day and yellow for low light conditions B) just in case  theres even some oil in a small bottle in there too lube the reels if needed ,and tissues to whipe them clean with a bit of lighter fluid before re-oiling them if needed

but i've decided ,its going too be a cool ,overcast day with a bit of a nip in the air ,metcheck couldn't predict yesterdays weather ,today :D ,i just have every eventuality covered ,even down to my wet weather gear being correctly camouflaged to match the surroundings ..... ok its brown .brown hat , coat & trousers .might come in handy if i get browned off with the weather
