I want to renew my computer protection. Norton have now started a countdown on my screen, telling me i have 28 days left etc. They tell you by the popup method. One of the items that i want protecting from is unwanted popups, funny that. :) At the time of purchacing norton last year, they didn't tell me that there is compatability issues with aol, i found out to my cost during the year. I know that aol recommend mcafee, anyone use a bought version, can you tell me of any problems.

thanks in advance.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Barry, for what it is worth try looking at NOD32. Is it any good? I reckon it is and have just renewed myself for the fourth year and have converted several people who SWORE Norton was good. Then they installed a trial version of NOD32 and found several problems!

It was recommended to me by none other than Leon and I have never even looked at anything else!!

Sorry cannot help with compatibility issues as I don't use AOL and it is NOT available any longer in France due to the last company using it going out of business.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Thanks to both Chris and Steve, i would prefer a bought one as i was on avg free before norton, no problems but with a shop bought one you get current live updates. I would still go with norton apart from there issues with aol, that leaves the end user with a narrow area that wasn't protected unless you actually paid norton a bit more money. Funny that. On the box at the time of purchace they say it's comprehensive, stops theft, viruses, spyware etc blady blah, yet i still ended up with a virus and they wanted me to pay even more to clear it out and i wasn't at fault.

Microsoft appears to be tempting as they are saying that you get upto date protection and for free.

You can now download Microsoft's own antivirus solution free of charge.

I've been running it for a while, seems OK.

I think it's more than OK. You will hardly notice that it's there and it works.

It seems marginally less of a resource hog than AVG, though it is usually quite busy at startup. This machine is getting on a bit now, though, and I expect on something faster it would be hardly noticeable. I can't say for sure whether it is more or less effective than AVG or even effective at all, because I don't seem to expose myself to malware often enough to have any real experience of the hit rates!

The download page only offers OS choices of XP or Vista. I wonder why they haven't included Win7 among the choices.

Bought me machine just over a year ago, only because i melted the mother board on me last one, it's one of these quad core thingies, when i look at the cpu usage it tells me the computer is running less that 5% along with norton, that is less than 5%. Definatly happy with with it at the mo.

Norton used to have a deserved reputation as a bit of a resource hog, but they really have cleaned their act up.

It does have the "Windows 7 Compatible' logo on the bottom left handside of the page. It also says Vista/Windows 7 after you click on the big blue "Download Now" button.
