My thanks too Chris. Very helpfull. Just loaded up the car and about to set off. Just got to call in at Tesco for some of the yellow stuff. Will be reading your write up several times tonight and hopefully dream of Grayling and big Roach instead of Bream and Tench :o

Thanks Chris that was most helpful. I feel that with that guide and a quick review of the water when I arrive, I will be as prepared as I can be for a first time.

I have to do a nursery run with my son first thing in the morning, so I will be arriving around 10am. By which time everyone will have nabbed all the best grayling spots!

Hey ho, still excited and looking forward to it. See you all tomorrow. Let's hope the rain stays off a little more than forecast.

Hi All, unfortunately my Dad has been taken ill and I am not going to be able to make it now. If there is anyone who wants to take my place they are welcome.

That's hard luck, Andy. I hope your dad feels better soon.

The latest weather is saying a very wet night tonight and tomorrow morning, followed by a dry afternoon.

I think the green romper suit will be called into action again this season...!

Well how did you all get along on the LI then??

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

Fundamentally fishing is a philosophy. A philosophy of earth, and growth, and quiet places. In it there is a rule of life, a recognition of permanences. It makes you notice the little things of nature, wherever you may be. ~Bernard Venables
