Darn it (for want of a better phrase....), you can count me as a definite probably. I've missed all the other fish-ins, I'll try like heck to make this one.

[Was that polite enough for you Gaffer? wink.gif )

Rather than getting a catering van, can't we just club together for food with some of us cooking? I've hardly ever given anyone food poisoning....

"forgive me if I have this wrong but, I thought fur'n'feather would have been fly fishing !"

Consider yourself forgiven !! - traditionally, `Fur and Feather` matches had prizes such as furry animals (rabbit, hare for instance) and feathery birds (turkies, geese, chickens, ducks), so that the prize-winners had a Christmas dinner out of it.

well thats me feeling a fool then frown.gif

I always thought fur n feather meant fly fishing cos of the materials used to make the flys.

Jonty are you gonna be there mate??

I would think that a size 12 elastic should be ok

3lb main line hm well thats a bit dodgy, i myself have never fished the bottom pool with anything less than 6lb line.

I do know people fish the top & middle pools with 3lb (& less) lines.

As we will have the run (so to speak) of the fishery you will be able to fish any of the pools or the river so bring what you like.

I am sure i can find you a carp rod & a reel with some decent line on it if you fancy a go on the bottom pool biggrin.gif

Oh by the way if you bring a sleeping bag i'm sure i can find you some where other than your car to sleep biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif
