Trotting a nymph

Intresting stuff here, sounds like trotting with nymphs is more widely used than I first suspected. My only problem is that I'm fishing predominately trout waters, in pursuit of grayling, so I'm a bit concerned that nymphs will be picked up by both species. Any ideas on baits which are more likely to be left alone by trout??

Regards,

Paul

Hi paul,my fishing partner trots exclusively with nymphs,a leader and a dropper flyfishin style.I am lazy and trot maggots and corn under an avon on a size 16.He does well with redtags and chadwells on as big as a 12.He normally outfishes me 2 to 1 though he does seem to pick up more brownies than my grayling?..
