FWIW I think having an environmental group involved with fish management whether commercial or RSA is like getting a group of vegan bunny huggers to run a live stock farm.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

We are not working any where at the moment DEFRA have stopped us fishing, no thornback,no sole only 7 box's of cod for the month so we've took the boat out of the water for it's anual refit a month early. Next month perhaps.

I fish to live and live to fish.

i know quite a lot of charter skippers who have had the last six weeks off, one guy i spoke to isn't going out until feb. One of the skippers down weymouth will leave for his winter holiday shortly and return in march. I must be a mug working in the building industry.

I think you are dancing with the Devil thinking that getting rid of the commercial fishermen is worth a little pain in return, a trap some RSA reps have already fell for.

But how to ovoid it I don’t know .

 

The inshore fleet could become our greatest allies in the north east.
