was only out for a few hours only a couple of spots that weren't frozen over

saw 1 other fisher a lady she had 6 roach up to 3/4 lb not bad for this stretch of the canal.

i am planing to get out more this year so i can get my son experience especially overnight fishing

he has been wanting to go for some time now but the weather was not up to much last year.

hope things get better weather wise this year.

Nice one, just curious ....what did you tempt it with Peter ? I might have a trip for fresh water shark in the next week or two myself.

caught on fizz bomb cocktail minced up fish scraps mixed with bicarb powder steradent tablet and tuna oil molded in to flat 5 inch pieces 2 inches thick

fist time i tried this works quite well got my idea from the pike bait bomb

the fizz might help attract the pike

for mix i used roughly 4 fishes ( roach perch mackerel bluey) whole 3 table spoons bicarb 1 steradent tablet 4 tea spoons tuna oil

single hook running ledger 3 oz lead

2 runs but only caught the second i think the first fish dropped the bait BroxUnioncanal2010.jpg
