hi all,

 

anyone know whats going with regards to the alterations to the river lambourn at shaw in newbury?

Don't know why this has been moved to the fly forum - :rolleyes: There's quite a few of us on here that fish that stretch - and with the exception of one I don't think we have a fly between us!!

Similar work has also been undertaken further downstream at Walton Way. Looks good - can't wait for it to get established in a couple of years.....

thanks for info, fished the lambourn at the end of the road where i live, had a couple of nice grayling an lots of small trout, also suprised to have caught a few small chub and roach.

lets hope it will get back to its former glory.

I have flies too, many tied by my fair hand (the ropey looking ones).

 

Just noticed the keyword in Jamie's post...Chub...the fish passes must be doing their job then.
