Does anyone know any good jaunty angling songs my friends and I can sing as we perambulate down to the river?

If not, why not? B)

I'm not sure it's jaunty, but there's Keep Fishin' by Weezer.

Related songs - you could always change the words......

I Want to Break Free - Queen

Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay - Otis Redding

Johnny Cash - I Walk The Line

We Gotta Get Outta This 'Plaice' - The Kinks

Or you could cheat and change the title..

Eel Meet Again, don't know where etc.

Sprat out of Hell - Meatloaf

Don't you make me wanna Trout - Lulu.

Carp Life - Blur

Sorry, I give in. :P:D

One from my early teens, a hit over here for 'The Nashville Teens'.

GOOGLE EYE

By John D Loudermilk

©1962 Acuff-Rose Publ. Inc.

Jump in me old jeep wagon

Bump it to the banks of the river

Dig me a worm and a cricket squirm

And a-wade out into the water

Oh, goodbye google eye

Eat him up a-google eye a-google eye a-google eye

Eat him up a-google eye a-google eye a-google eye

Goodbye google eye

Bait me a hook in the morning

Throw him out into the water

Make him swim with a dorsal fin

And come home to me daughter

Oh oh goodbye google eye...

Google eye swim by me hipboot

Look up at me from the water

Google eye chomp and me fall on me romp

But me get him up out of the water

Oh goodbye google eye...

Google eye fry in the sizzle

Sweet smoke lay on the water

Take old google eye's scales 'n tails

Home to me daughter

Oh goodbye google eye

Ate him up a-google eye, a-google eye, a-google eye

Ate him up a-google eye, a-google eye, a-google eye

Good bye google eye

You can sing it now, but once the catch and release legislation is passed, be careful. Trees have ears.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

Sole music?...................anything by the carp...enters?

sorry, I'll shut the door on the way out :D

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!
