Well, it IS the Yarmouth Mercury :) So waddaya do when short of news?

 

Provincials are full of such - I remember the Nottingham Evening Post carrying a banner front-page headline "Beeston Boy Falls Off Bicycle"

It would seem that the cod in the area have had some pretty dubious flings as well :D

 

I wonder if this is the origin of the mermaid tales!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!
