Cheapest Way To Make A Hard-Standing?

And just to put a little fly in the ointment, not 100% sure, i think building control regs changed last year, you either need to go through them when doing a drive or a hard stand or you will need to create one that allows water to permeate through as opposed to running off.

Should be okay, Barry:

It's part of the back garden I'm hoping to use. That said, I have an L-shaped garden and it is physically forward of the house, but behind the fence.

Thanks for the Link Elton, just for front driveways/gardens then. I think their logic behind that was the amount of run off during a storm, where the surface water drainage wouldn't be able to cope.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

You hit the nail on the head :D They have now created paver's with nibs giving a 3mm ish gap so water can drain through which is great on a domestic drive for light weight vehicles but useless with large vehicles especially when turning on them causing them to crack and turn.

PS you can still use the other pavers providing you have drainage for water catchment to a soakaway.

The boat that is currently standing on this area should be gone on Wednesday, so I should be able to start on it later this week.

First thing will be to clear the gravel and dig out the area. Would it be okay to fill the base with the gravel? If not, I'll have to find another way to dispose of it.

Try and get a small amount of say brick hardcore locally, (free adds) save the gravel to put among'st the hardcore, makes good fines, don't throw it, you will be left with a level subbase for your concrete.

Having lost touch a bit may I ask "Is this THE boat?" and "Did one complete rebuild?"

Got to go with barry on the use of gravel.

It was the boat, but I never did anything with it and have decided my life needs decluttering. It went here - and is going to Wales, apparently. The electronics are going separately - here.

An alternative could be to get a bag or two of Part2, hire a plate vibrator, and then lay the "council" type slabs on top. I did this at the side of my house and have jacked up my van a couple of times OK.

My neighbour has a whacker plate and was whacking some type one into the grass alongside his drive the other day. Apparently, the grass will grow through it (his misses had reversed off the drive a few times and cut the grass up!). H'es offered me the use of the whacker plate :)
