ouch that must bloody hurt ,several minor hookings over the years worst was fishing from folkestone harbour when a prat cast standing right next to me i put up my hand in a reflex and his hook caught me at the base of my middle finger (still a large scar) that hurt then after his running rig pulled the line tight as it shot off hurt even more! lots of blood

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Touch wood tapping head :lol: never ever been hooked apart from the occasional pin prick baiting up with rag worms when I lightly squeeze the head to open the mouth and pass the hook through which is between ones fingers :lol:

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

............and what was he fishing for? :o

I remember seeing a very old tackle catalogue from the 1930s, on one page was a Crocodile hook, (yep, some mad buggers intrepid adventurers fished for them) the hook was shown lifesize and just about filled the page (6" X 4 approx), this thing looks even bigger.

But it's nice to see that rather then run to the poor fellows aid, some one found the time to go get the camera.

I did this last year;

It was summer and I was sat in casualty when a bloke came in with a little mackeral spinner stuck in his thumb. After checking in he came and sat down and announced that he had got a treble hook embeded in himself. In true crockodile Dundee style I said 'thats not a hook - this is a hook!' and showed him my piercing. I can just imagine the bloke in the photo above doing something similar to me ha!
