Glad to hear it John, I was going to offer a lift as I'm in Walthamstow so to go round to Uxbridge wouldn't have been a big deal at 5am in the morning :D

Gear sorted, last little trip to tescos to get the essentials this evening and then pack the car then that's me ready for tommorrow. See you all there !

Gear sorted, Toyota pretty much packed, Landy battery on charge (packed the Toyota 'cause I reckon the Landy's more likely to start if I have to repack). Just need to pack food & drink & mugs now. Should be away from here around 8:30, staying with a mate in Essex (Tom) tonight to shorten my journey tomorrow and let him follow me down so he doesn't get lost :-) Really hope the Landy starts as it gives Steve another taxi to drop people round the lake which helps the bailiffs out.

Looking forward to it immensely, not managed a trip down this year yet despite having a night ticket. Plan to make a few weekend trips later in June & through the rest of the summer though.

Safe journeys to all who are travelling, see you all down there tomorrow.

Will

Update:Landy started OK once I'd got some charge in her, should get away in 15 mins or so.

I've just viciously been through my tackle bag, eliminating anything that isn't absolutely necessary :)

But now I'm filling up another bag with things that I might need!

He he I am so glad I am not the only one who spent ages working it out and still it is way more than I have ever taken in my car. Main problem really is the need to have everything for all eventualities and not really knowing what they may be

Aaaaaaarghhh!

Just looked at the forecast and realised that I have absolutely no idea how to fish Wingham when the wind isn't whipping up tsunamis, battering the bushes and shaking bivvies to near-destruction as torrents fall from the skies at least intermittently.

How am I supposed to catch perch in bright sunshine?

Just to be clear, it is an AN fish-in isn't it?

And it is this weekend?

And the forecast cannot be that far out can it?

Something just isn't right here.

What's the temperature likely to be? Metcheck is claiming 11-13c ish and bbc 20 - 25c over the weekend! I'm guessing Metcheck is totally out?

Just about to retire for the night now, will get a good six hours before I have to meander down the road to meet at 7am. :D.

If I do not get a chance to say hello tomorrow, I am only fishing the one day, good luck to everyone and I hope that the dream comes along.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

Well, I've had the angioplasty and am at home nursing a rather sore groin.

I hope the procedure works as it will cure the angina and opssible the arrhythmia which has plagued me for nigh on 12 months.

As for Steve, I'm down in Kent on 9/10th June and have the phones for you abnd Peggy with me.

Good luck from a very, very frustrated Stubbs. :-(
