Wingham Fish-In Catch Reports

Been trying to get my head round photobucket so I thought I would add a few more photos.

The Tench managed to kick me out of bed at around 4-15am but it was so tranquil that I stayed up to watch an absolutely gorgeous sunrise. Wish I was there now

Very atmospheric shots, it shows why will all love Wingham so much.

Plus very nice Tench.

At last.... I actually get a few minutes in front of the computer without any interruptions! :-)

Well, what more can I say, that hasn't been said already. This was the most amazing weekend of fishing that I have ever experienced and in such a beautiful location too. I can't say thank you enough to everyone who made this weekend possible and for all the tips and tales shared it just made it a truly unforgettable weekend and a special thank you to Steve for having Dales and I there for the weekend.

Not only did I catch my PB perch of 3.14 within the first 30 minutes of fishing but I caught my very first pike of 11.04 too, I was trying for a bigger perch but obviously the pike had other ideas :-)

Thank you again for making this such a fantastic weekend :-)

And happy fishing!

Cracking perch Smiffles - not just big but a really good looking specimen. I only wish I could catch one that big

Hmmm, I'm getting quite severe Wingham withdrawal symptoms now...

One thing I forgot to say before was 'well done' to Errrm who became a master spodder and tench angler after about 8 seconds of trying (he put my spodding to shame! I prefer a nice wide carpet of bait anyway  ), and to Ant who picked everything up super-fast too, found and fed some great spots and reaped the rewards

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

If only I could teach myself to be that good with a spod rod!

Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying with my thanks, I have been away for a few days and no where near a PC, heaven!

So, thank you Steve and your band of helpers for such a wonderful opportunity to fish this amazing lake. I was completely taken by how special this venue is and even after all of the hype before the trip, nothing really prepared me for what lay in store when I was dropped off at my swim, talk about eyes on stalks and lost for words!

The fishing as most have already said, was great to start with and then the sun popped out and all went quiet, well you cant have it both ways!

I took some pictures during the 3 days, and have chosen a few of the best to share.

Thanks again, and I hope to be lucky enough to be there again next year.

Ben.
