Think i might take the kids carp fishing tomorrow today. :(

The ribble is low but all the fish I caught shot off like a greyhound out the trap when I released them !

My local stream is just about perfect :D

Kennet's looking OK - pretty much normal summer levels - nothing too low. Wet winter will have topped up the aquifers nicely...

The tributaries here are in an even worse state since this topic was started, but for some reason that brown colour has dropped out of the Thames and it actually doesn't look too bad. There's no flow, but the weirpools are certainly worth a look. Richard caught a big perch the other day, so that has inspired me to try to get out one evening this week and see what's what...

Fished the Severn last week and the week before. It was low but a horrible dirty brown which was probably the result of compensation water.

Out again tomorrow and have been told that the colour is much improved - fingers crossed.

The Thames is brown and has stopped flowing.

Looks clear enough at Reading and the varuious stretches I've seen down to Teddington. Watched a 2lb perch at least 4ft down for a few minutes last week - close to a bridge footings.

Kennet is as it was last year, but a little earlier.

the Weys fine here and even the ponds outfall (thus its inlet) is still running fast ,usually the inlet dries up very fast in a dry summer as it fills many ponds (including little frensham) before ours.
