We were talking a cup of tea left overnight near a window would freeze lol.

The only insulation when we moved in was the piles of chewed pine cones the earlier residents had for food! (Squirrels not humans with food fetishes!)

Even then with 13 flat roofs you couldnt burn enough oil to make a difference !

When people say its chilly indoors they dont have a clue lol or in my mrs case short memories!

This is the first house in the 47 years we have known each other with full central heating

As a kid we didnt have heating at all ,my old man was at sea until i was 9 so no money and after a paraffin fire blaze on a visit on leavewe never had it again until i was 17 17 was my highlight in life first cental heating (enjoyed it for a month until i left home) and first bath in a real plumbed in bath!

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

Our Dad made a batch of Elderberry wine before I was born & put a bottle down for my older brother's 21st Birthday so it was matured for around 20 yr's.

It kept well, rich & tasted great - Old home made wine doesn't always keep that well??
