Kayak fishing in Filey Bay

Tried fishing from my kayak today in Filey Bay. Only caught one little tiddler but have been told that fishing is good here. I am very new to this kind of fishing and was wondering which side of Filey Bay was best for catching Pollack or Cod. I fished near the Brigg today about 200 metres from the Brigg end. Avoided going too close to the end as have read that it can be much rougher in the open. I would appreciate any info from the local experts as I would love to go again and stand a chance of catching something of decent size. Also, what methods are best to use. Many thanks

Pollack and Cod are on the outside of the brigg end. Fish it in sommur and go with someone who knows what they are doing.
