What about Open Office it has virtually all of the functionality of Word and Excel but is available as a free download.

I use it on my Laptop and it came pre loaded on my ASUS eeePC and it is just as easy to use and as long as you save it as an MSword or Excel document it is virtually interchangeable.

I also use OpenOffice. No way am I paying all that money for the Microsoft version.

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.

My hand's up in the air for Open Office, too. I use it all the time now :)

And another 'OO' paw here.

If you really want MSoffice 2000 and whatever it is - the student editions are often about £70.

Jealousy: totally irrational anger directed at people who happen to be richer, prettier, thinner, cleverer and more successful than you are.
