Do you feed the bread via the cage feeder or ball it?

Also will feeding bread ruin or help with trotting for the grayling if the roach arent having it or is it better to move on and only feed maggots for the grayling ?

when quivering how long would you give each swim before moving on ?

Is it worth spending any time trying to target the barbel or is it just as well to fish for the grayling and chub and maybe get a bonus barbel ?

Sorry with all the questions but im a stillwater matchman and need all the advice i can get as this is totally alien to me :)

Yes Grayling definitely like Bread so feeding it in will definitely not put them off. The only problem is Trout seem to have a suicidal preference for bread so if you put too much in you will attract Trout and they can be quite aggressive scaring the other fish from the swimm. Wouldn't bother trying for Barbel Tony, very few there and not easy to catch. If it's your first time I would just take the trotting rod, couple of pints of maggots and some bread and roam around so that you can see as much of the venue as possible during the day. N

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

Fundamentally fishing is a philosophy. A philosophy of earth, and growth, and quiet places. In it there is a rule of life, a recognition of permanences. It makes you notice the little things of nature, wherever you may be. ~Bernard Venables

I wonder what the percentage loss of productivity in the workplace AN is responsible for.

:D Not much, I never log on in work time.

Good advice from Nicholas

I'll be trotting all day but will probably spend the last hour or two settled in somewhere with the quivertip and bread, dreaming of roach (and catching trout  ).

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Just thought I would wish all you guys good luck for the big event, and don't forget the piccies, not just the fishy ones :D

The two best times to go fishing are when it's raining and when it's not

Sorry guys - that i am not going to make it tomorrow morning as I was hoping to. At the moment that I been suffering from a large ulcer on my right lower leg/ankle which making it very painful to either drove down to the venue and let alone walking about because of the continuous pain.

Good luck guys and look forward to see the action/reports and picture soon.
