What should be the next gizmo?

Have we exhausted it all now?

Think of all the 'advancements' in the past 20 years alone!

Saturation point?

What would REALLY make a difference?

I can't think of anything, but then my head's not a lightbulb.

Any ideas?

In life we all have an unspeakable secret, an irreversible regret, an unreachable dream and an unforgettable love.

haha brilliant :D

As famous fisherman John Gierach once said "I used to like fishing because I thought it had some larger significance. Now I like fishing because it's the one thing I can think of that probably doesn't."

Just think of any object and add the name 'Carp' to the beginning and there will always be someone willing to spend their money on it and think of reasons to justify it; we already have 'Carp Pillow' and 'Carp' slippers' and 'Carp Toilet Paper hangers' so what about 'Carp Pyjamas' or as that already been done?, or whatabout re-packaging some of the Carp gear as 'Barbel' gear, ie. Barbel Pillow, Barbel Slippers, Barbel Toilet Paper hangers and Barbel Pyjamas etc. all with a different camo appearance such as long reeds ?? There must be lots of gullible anglers with more money than sense who would buy it.

The reed camo on its own would be enough to justify it to some . :)

i remember a few years ago when i was a teenager someone invented a device for if you got snagged on a tree etc on the far bank it would supposedly slide down your line over your float and tackle cutting the line at the hook so all tackle was retrieved apart from the snagged hook.

so after seeing such a gadget on tv i purchased one (or an imitation of one) on a market stall for £3.99.

on my next visit to my local lake an over hanging tree was snagged and the device was placed over the line and slid down where it hit the float cut the line then sank to the bottom of the lake costing me nearly 4 quid on top of losing my float etc.

i soon learned that a lower strength hook length and learning to cast properly was far cheaper and didnt make my mates laugh as hard
