I usually wear mine all the time when its bright ,last year while walking up the river I spotted a pike of about 16 lb resting on the bottom in about 2 feet of water.I shouted my mate to come and have a look,he was looking right at it,we were only about 20 feet away and he couldn't see it.

I got a pair when I last had my eyes tested and for the frames free.

 

I won't fish without a pair of polaroids now - apart from which, they offer protection from flying end gear!

I got a pair of prescription polarised glasses the other week, I used them last weekend for fishing.

The sun was strong and with normal glasses on the surface of the pond was just white. I popped on the shades (felt like a tit in winter) and the reflection was gone, I couldn't see down in the water it was too cloudy, but fishing the pole I could use any coloured float, YES even yellow tipped.

Definately cleared vision with these, cant wait to try them when im out on the motorbike, because that gets bad when the road is wet after rain and the sun hits it.

Still got my pair 6 years on, and just about to start fishing again after a 4 year lay off.

If you need them to fit over glasses then a pair of cocoons will do the job nicely or get yourself down to aldi polaroid glasses there for 3.99 at the mo

I use Polaroids most of the time when I am float fishing. They take the glare off the water and make the float much easier to see even in comparatively dull conditions.
