What are the most ferocious fish?

Dales

Recommended Posts

For me its got to be the Carp they will destroy most beautiful lakes and turn them into muddy pig puddles now that's ferocity the destruction of everything in sight including frog's, toads, newts and their eggs to only mention a few of their preferred nibbles. They are the cause of swims being cut on the banks, the unnatural addition of wooden platforms, come on what other fish ferociously destroys so much in and out of the water?

I wondered who would be the first to mention Carp :D

Smal pike again!

Pollack wil hit a lure in a rather impressive fashion!

Brown trout hitting a spinner!

Chub hitting a small popper, a fly or a spun mounted minnow?

Shark bite-offs possibly happen when the bait fish has ended up sliding up past the trace onto the mainline. I'm making a little device to help prevent this out of a toy plastic ball!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

"ferocious" is a man made concept a mere word

there are no ferocious fish just fish doing what theve always done to eat ,i'm sure a pike doesnt act differently to a 6" roach than a 12" one its just food

i consider no fish ferocious i just respect those that could harm me ,if i get cut on a pikes teeth its not being ferocious its me being careless ,a pike probably doesnt even know what a human is so has no conscience of ferociousness.

probably in reality a gudgeon is more ferocious than a pike as its food is on a bigger scale compared to its size, shrews (the fluffy things cats play with) are very "ferocious" their size requires them to be but would flee on sight of non food things

heres a pike not being ferocious at al

Youtube Video ->Original Video

if it were being ferocious i would expect swearing and senseless beatings

Having had that happen with both tigerfish and porbeagle (and possibly with tope) I too was thinking of a baffle above the trace - say something like half a pingpong ball.

...but t'would be ironical if the pred then snapped at the ball!

for uk fish the stickleback would take some beating on being ferocious,

a little weedy farm pond that i sometimes fish is full of them and in the summertime i often watch them swimming about attacking anything they think they can take on even seen one having a good scrap with a beetle.

Just as well they are so small, scaled up a few pound and they would be some sport fish :D
