SAA, NFA, NAA and the rivers close season..?....

Andy,

With respect, reading this thread and some of the others gives a false impression of what the SAA is about and what it is doing for angling, and I'm pretty certain it does exactly the same to other angling organisations mentioned. In reality the close season and MOU are just single issues in amongst 50 or 100 others.

What I'm getting at is you have to look at the bigger picture and see what the groups are really trying to do. If people want to find out more then contact any of the groups directly - I'm sure all will answer any questions you may have and I can guarantee every group has too few active members for those who want to get more involved :D

Rob.

Steve, As chairman of the Barbel Society you have a responsibility to be fair to your members and also all other anglers and board posters. Could you please state in all future postings on any site, whether you are speaking on behalf of your 1200+ members and speaking Barbel Society Policies,(as your position infers that you are), as opposed to you speaking on a 'personal' note and viewpoint. Please make it clear in future, and then maybe things will calm down a little. I trust this is in order with you Elton.
