Jim Roper,

Wonder if you might define "cruel" in the context you use it in this thread.

Phone

I have searched the thread and cannot find an instance where I have used the word cruel other than in quoting the antis.

jim,

i'm not having a pop at hunters, it's up to them what they do. What I don't like is the way they come across in the media. That's not their fault, it's the Media's. Unfortunately it's a cross the hunting lobby has to bear. In actual fact, even when those in the press receive a brief to show a cross section of those involved in any issue, they always go for the "soft" options of choosing people who stand out from the crowd, rather than blend in or represent the norm (most of my family are journalists, so i know what I'm talking about)

I come from a middle class background and am well aware of snobbery. There is snobbery from above to below, from below to above and sideways to sideways. It's a fact of life. The trouble is, as I tried to point out, is that there is usually one "class" shown as being representative of those taking part in hunting. Until the CA can shake that problem, they are a bit stuck.

I may be there on the march, but it clashes with a project worth about £5000 to my firm. Hmm, what to do?

Even self declared Non Snobs are snobs. 'I'm better than he is, he's a snob'!

Perhaps the CA is keen to have us rough lot on its side so it is seen as a classless organisation. Yep, angling is being used.
