The PCS union, which represents coastguard watch officers has a generic letter to MP's, MSP's, AW's etc etc on it's website at the link below. Their site will send an electronic letter to your representatives asking them to support the campaign against coastguard station closures, should you chose to join the campaign. Anyone can use their site to submit a letter to your MP, you do not need to be a member of any union. The first page asks for your name, address and email address - when you click to continue it shows you the letter which will be sent on your behalf. Should you then feel that you do not wish to proceed you can quit the process without the letter being sent. If you chose to proceed the letter will be sent and you will receive an acknowledgement email.

Please fill it in and support our coastguards, it may be your life they save.

Received a letter back from my local mp seafoods the content in it was quite fasinating the words he used were political jargon i had to ask my wife to have a look at it she just laughed i know i didnt go to university but it looked like as if the wording was made to baffle you it was all in riddles and most people wouldnt have understood it but he has had a lot of stick for backing the cuts in the service but he has skin like a rhino .

Tryed the link but not getting anything.

Well our local MP mr robert goodwill conservative who just towing the party line and who i am sad to say doesnt represent the local community gets a pasting of humber coastgurd in our local paper today and rightly so at his ignorance as to just what the coastguard actually does paul chapman from humber coastguard got the same reply from him i got a load of jargon what paul says he highlights what mr goodwill knows about the coastguards in a nut shell hook all have a read tells a few home truths.

I have spoken the paper today and they are getting a lot of calls regarding this issue and mr goodwills stance on the matter which as they say is extremly shabby.
