It'd be great if everyone who visited the site answered this, but i doubt it somehow. Anyway, people often refer to the wealth of experience on Anglers' Net and I wonder how deep it goes. Just how many years of experiece do we have between us. So,......

How many years have you been an angler?

Eight years but I'm only 15 now!

No need to be sad...just think how many great years of angling you've got ahead of you :)

Although I can vividly remember my first fishing trip, I've only a vague idea of how old, or rather how young, I was. However, it would have been well over 40 years ago.

I'm 30 now, and have been fishing since I was 7, so 23 years. I started because my Mum and Dad moved to a house that backed onto the Grand Union Canal (they still live there) so I have spent many many hours of my life sat on my mum's back garden fishing. Now I've moved out and live with my wife, but still fish there occasionally.

23 years is a long time to fish, but I've still got loads to learn!

Despite fishing being strictly forbidden by my parents, I started at the age of seven, so have notched up 61 years. Must have learnt something in that time.
