My P.B perch

when i was fishing a small pond using maggots and bread i hooked a resonable sized perch it weighed in at 1lb and 3 ounce it was the biggest perch i caught and i was very proud now i got to concerntrate on beating that!

nice one buddy! I got my pb bream last night at 3.5lb, not huge i know, BUT its a target to beat!

A good perch to start with, and as you are still at school, a whole lifetime to keep pushing that PB up.

 

There are some good perch threads on AN, and some good articles by Steve Burke - have a search through them for new ideas.

 

Click on the "search" box up on the right, then put in "perch"

 

Click on "articles" on the lefthand side of the home page and look for Steve Burke.

 

Even with lots of decent perch behind me, I am still pleased when I get one over a pound.

Wasn't it Dick Walker who said that a big Perch is the biggest fish you will catch; or something along those lines?

Well done Dan and Craynerd! it seems it was one of those weekends for pb's then, I broke my mirror carp pb on sunday using artificial corn and a grain of tutti frutti corn, I was really hoping for a nice early season tench but could only manage one baby tinca.

a friend of mine also beat his pb twice in one session this week, with a mirror at 4.5lbs and a common of 6.5lbs. taken on floating bread.

cool im a fisherman that hasnt beign to places with fish to 20lb and if they do have them to 20lb it is pike.My biggest fish i have caught is about 2 and a half pound or something like that and ive caught 2 at that size they are TENCH and a jack PIKE
