My Tench PB

Went fishing yesterday on a water I hadn't fished for 8 years, Nothing happened for the first hour and a half, but it was like a new water to me, I thought I'm going to have to learn this all over again.

 

Then another angler moved into the swim next to me and we struck up a conversation, turns out we had a lot in common, he was in the Trailer business as I used to be before I retired, turns out we knew a lot of the same people, and also he was a Speedway fan the same as myself, we were having a real good natter then Bang, I hit a Tench, a nice one around 4 or 5 pounds I should think, then I got another about the same then I got into a Carp, then another Tench this time a bit smaller.

We were having another good natter then all of a sudden my float shot away and I had to get it away from the reeds, then it tried to shoot under the platform, after a little while I got it in and the chap in the next swim came and put the net under it, I said I think this is the best Tench I've ever had and I haven't got a camera with me, he said I have, I'll take it and Email it to you, while he went to get the camera I weighed it, it went 7lbs, so it is a personal best, he sent the picture earlier, here it is

Thank you Tigger, it shure did put a bend in the old rod, I thought at one time it was going to do a complete horseshoe.

 

When the chap sent the picture through he said we must meet up and do that again sometime, so I think we might meet up there again next week, we certainly got on well together, it was a cracking day in good company

 

Feel really chuffed with myself.

Geat stuff, a new PB and a new fishing friend in one go. Those Tincas can put a crackin fight up can't they ? You can get addicted to the feeling of hookin a good un. Lets hope you do as well next week or even better !
