Back to the thread... are your leads shiney or coated? :D;)

:D Mate Ive got shiney ones, coated ones, sprayed ones, ones with hairy stuff on the lot! I can honestly say though that the only one thats ever caught me a fish (well nearly caught!) was a black ! 1/4 ozs bomb on the end of a sunken float pat rig that a pike grabbed it on the retrieve in prefference to the 6ozs live trout a few feet above it!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

A pre-emptive bite on this topic a year ago!

I can only assume Pallatrax are keeping an eye on me in the hope of luring me into becoming sponsered :) Although perhaps I should hold out for that ever ellusive Warburtons deal.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Andrew, as can be seen, that pre-emptive 'bite' back then was followed by a smilie.... as I'd only seen one comment to refer on and kept the topic on track.... a few more appeared of late, I had a bad day, I was being supportive to friends and as with a lot of web forums it goes off on a tangent from there...

You best hold out for the Warburtons deal... as I gather from a post on this thread you don't do camo' and this is the hat colour for this season for the sponsored anglers :lol::lol:

P.S you should see the perch that young man pictured back then had today.. I'll post one in a while!

Head to foot in camo with face paint and a veil he inched through the long grass on his stomach, weapon in hand and target sighted. He raised himself very slightly and cast, the camo stone flew towards its target carrying his deadly bait to the spot chosen an hour previously. An hour spent soundlessly inching towards his ideal casting spot through nettles, thistles brambles, long grass, shrubs, and cow poo. Perfect he watched the stone land through his camoed non reflective binoculars just as he had hoped.

Then came a noise like a giant eggbeater and a great wind whipped up the grass all around him, suddenly a voice broke the afternoons stillness "Here mate you o.k.?" instantly a brightly clad individual appeared as if by magic immediately in front of our intrepid hero held a few feet off the muddy ground by the winch cable from the helicopter above. "A bird watcher spotted you trying to crawl to the water and phoned for help, You really are a lucky fella if it had not been for the dayglo sponsorship sign on your back we would never have spotted you and you could have been stuck here for ages. But no worries mate we can soon winch you to safety. Guess you must be in a lot of pain to be crying so much or is it just relief at being rescued?

...hehehe...

Graeme,if I send you a paving stone could you make me a specialist big cat camo ledger weight ? I would gladly pay the postage and for the garden wire but only if you can guarantee me they will catch me a 250lb catfish....I will gladly wear a T-shirt with "The Pebble Making Pirate" printed on it and mention your product every time I write? have we a deal?

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Graeme, if you need some 'raw materials' let me know. The guy opposite me had a couple of lorry loads of non patented pebbles delivered. Every time he backs his car out, he brings a load out with him. The kids are skimming them down the street to see who can get the farthest.

Keep up the good work

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

Patrick how about this for an offer - stick 3 1.5oz inline stonze in the post (PM for address) and I will give them a 100% fair and impartial test alongside normal leads when I do my spring tench fishing, at a crystal clear gravel pit. I'll post the results on here and I promise to be absolutely honest and will not prejudge the results. When I fish for tench I use very short hooklengths so the lead is always very close to the hookbait.

I'll then either buy them off you or post them back to you.

If they make a difference, not only will I look silly but it will be some genuine publicity from someone who has no links to the company.
