I live nearby, but can't seem to justify any new kit :angry: . Is it really as good as the hype seems to indicate. I would go in the afternoon, Saturday or Sunday. Does it have a clearout session at the end of day or not. Now I am going through my collection to convince SWMBO that I really need to get something, and that my little Corsa will accomodate it. Otherwise I will have to sneak the Zafira out of the garage, which means I will have to buy more to fill it :D:D

I'd pop in if it was within half an hour of me, but down in South somerset it's not really worth it.

 

I once went to a used tackle sale that was five minutes away on a bicycle, really good quality stuff there, but it was when i first started fishing and didn't really know what i needed. I'm hoping there will be another one at some point because it was things like fox telescopic banksticks, barely used for 2 quid, now i'd go and buy half a dozen of them not just one!!! :(

LOL at Sean and Dales!

 

Only tackle hows Ive been to in recent years were the ones at Dettling show ground a few years ago.Cant remember who organised them (but it was a national company) I was running the security there so it was a nice skive! Didn't think the prices were that great though. Also I thought the ebtry price (£15? on the door) was outrageous! Had two good speakers though (Martin Bowler and Terry Hearn) and a good selection of gear.

 

I don't normally bother though to be honest as they stopped interesting me years ago.I far prefer the Trade shows as you get to see new developments.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

I used too work at the big one when it was held at thorpe park, I done the catering... In fact my pals still do the good side of it. Anyway this was b4 I was interested in fishing but I still used to puck up good quality rods and tackle for a decent price and giv em to me old man for bdays and crimbo!! I'm goin this year with a mate who I started all my fishing with and we have a huge list of gear we are on the look out for :)
