My end of season activities start today, programme is as follows;

Today, trotting for chub using the Shadowlanda in an attempt to get some action pics for the review (that's the kiss of death).

Tomorrow, out on Steve's boat to a new part of the Thames after perch.

Friday, recover, check gear, load Witcher and prepare for Saturday.

Saturday, LIF.

Sunday, don't know yet, maybe afternoon session at Speen Moors

Monday, no plans but might try to get on Barton Court for the last day.

Right now, shower and brekkie :):):)

It's never a 'six', let's put it back

Good luck mate, I hope the weather down your way is better than ours.

We've got rain, sleet, and hail, with a wind that's making it come down almost horizontal. It's like stepping into a shot blaster.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

I'm on a late today - so just back from a couple of hours grayling fishing - fish not really having it - but snaffled a couple of pounders.

Sat will see me at Speen. Sunday I've got to go into work in the morning (how did THAT happen  ) and the afternoon will be spent watching The Royals embarrass 'Citeh' in the cup (well I can dream!). Monday will be spent on the Middle Kennet somewhere... ;)

Very jealous sat in the office having just read that Rusty!! Have a great time! N

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

Fundamentally fishing is a philosophy. A philosophy of earth, and growth, and quiet places. In it there is a rule of life, a recognition of permanences. It makes you notice the little things of nature, wherever you may be. ~Bernard Venables

Karma's a bitch! I'm sure he'll manage to cope once he gets there :)

With the end of the season almost upon us I've decided to finally get around to trying a bit of night fishing for the chub. After work today I'm going to hit the river and stay out as long as I can manage, to see if sneaky old chevin fancies a midnight snack...

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music
