Local lad paul britton got his personal best cod today on rod and line a cod of 15lb and half an ounce on squid paul fished with me today on sea-otter 2 the weather was fantastic and so was the fishing the lads on board had a bonanza it fished very well today shads fished extremly well the lads had a rake of cod but it was paul who managed the prize of the day paul is an ex trawlerman but the rod and line fishing he really enjoys and the 15lb cod today said it all well done paul.

Congratulalations to paul britton for winning the whitby charter skippers spring festival with his 15lb cod on sea-otter 2 paul collects the £1000 cash not a bad days work to say the least .

 

Paul is an offshore worker nowadays but he worked on local trawlers for quite a few years but now loves his angling paul says is now looking forward the whitby charter skippers big one the summer festival with the 1st prize of £5000 there is over £10,000 in cash up for grabs plus many tackle prizes .

Its been a great festival glen with plenty of fish once again if you targeted pollock there is plenty to be had carl on the last day had a few with me when went went pollocking for an hour hie best around 9lb.
