lol I saw the post probably within a couple of seconds of it being up and I have never clicked so furiously to get my email sent :D

 

It looks a stunning venue and despite being many miles from where I live it seems worth the trip. Just a shame I sold my bivvy and river rods recently to finance a motorcross bike with the intenstion of replacing them before the close season ends. Looks like I will be calling in some favours from friends :lol:

 

Don't worry, we can almost certainly help you out if you can't call in favours.

 

Once the applications close (sometime next week), I'll put up another topic as usual where guests can ask for items to borrow and others can post what they can help with.

I applied again so fingers cross I get a place again :-). I alwasy end up saying I am interested in Perch and Tench and just get side tracked fishing for Tench so I think I will be more honest this year and just say I am fishing for Tench :-)

 

The Tench at wingham are happy to take worms, so you could have a random chance of a pick up from a big Perch just by using them as a bait during the day.

You are probably right..... although the syndicate I am currently fishing apparently has perch to over 5lb (although I'm not sure how true this is) but they have no tench so I'm tempted to go all out to catch Tench and I think I might have a better chance fishing a bolt rig setup rather than a free running rig with worm which I'm not used to fishing with........ decisions, decisions :-)

It's a very nice dilemma to have :D

 

I've found that running rigs still give blistering runs at Wingham, but it's worth fishing a style that you are comfortable with.

Thanks Steve. Very kind of you. I have all the terminal tackle etc that I would need so just need to source a bivvy, 2 avon rods and I think I would need to borrow long drop bobbins as I do not have any. I wasnt thinking about the fish in when I sold my rods lol. :wallbash:

 

I used to have quite a few rods etc but I decided to scale down to those that were necessary such as 2x river, 1x small lake feeder, 1x trotting rod etc. Then decided that the river rods could go as I didnt need them until the new season lol. Live and learn I supppose. :D
