GOD !!!! I'm only 13, and i KNOW Fish don't feel pain, Let me explain how !!!!!

Fish do not feel pain, Because they lack the part of the brain called the Neocortex (The Part which senses pain in Human's), The are Incapable of sensing Pain or Fear, Because quite simply, they havn't got the mental capacity to.

I hope this Clears the matter up, And you should get your fact's right, before you go shouting off that they do !!!

Ever seen a roach swim like mad away from a pike? do they do it out of fear or because they have just had some red bull and feeling energetic?

Why do fish get spooked? is it because the are scared or is it because they like playing chase?

to say fish dont know fear is wrong they obviously do or they wouldnt display those behavoiurs, as wether they feel paini dont THINK they do, i havent seen enough evidance to give either clam any real value so i sit on the fence on that one

Just instinct.

We hear a sudden noise and jump.

That's instinct.

A moment afterwards, the part of our brain where we register fear becomes activated.

Fish don't have that part of the brain, they only act 'instinctively', but without fear.

Primitive emotions such as fear and dread only become possible with the more complex development of the brain at the stage of development that arose in reptiles.

For us it's difficult to get our heads around the experience and perception of creature that seem to behave like us, yet not to be like us, think like us or feel like us.

How do we know?

Well, just one reason is that plenty of humans have suffered brain damage to the parts of the brain where experiences such as emotions and pain perception arise.

They lose those abilities.

The parts of their brains that are damaged never developed in the brains of pre-reptilian creatures.

I didn’t!

The only fact is that the facts are in dispute!!

Those that say fish don’t feel pain therefore fishing is ok are, in my opinion, on dodgy ground.

Fishing is ok anyway!!!
