Please note that all Barbel Society waters are now closed until further notice due to the Foot & Mouth problem.

 

Reading & District have also closed their waters therefore the planned {Barbel Society} fish-in at the Benyons Fishery (10th March) has also been cancelled.

Tiverton Canal now seems to be shut

 

Also Creedy Carp Lakes is Not going to open as of 1st march like normal due to foot and mouth, thats fact that, i spoke to Sandra the owner today.

realise copyright can be a problem, but this situation is such, that hopefully there won't be a problem passing on the list.• Bowland Game Fishing Association's waters.

• Bradford City AA and Bradford No1 AA's waters.

• Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire Amalgamation Club have shut stretches from Chequers through Bath to Seagrey.

• The Throop Fishery on the Dorset Stour has closed two miles of the stretch from New Weir to Blackwater.

• The Bridgenorth AS stretches of the River Severn.

• All of the 6000 strong Prince Albert AS waters, excluding the Macclesfield Canal.

• The Newport Pagnall, Bedford, Northampton Nene and Vauxhall stretches of the barbel record busting Great Ouse.

• Ribchester and District Angling Association's waters.

• Cheshire's Wheelock AS waters.

• Llandysul AA fisheries above Lampeter Bridge were due to open on Saturday 3rd March, but the Committee has decided to keep them closed for the time being.

• Norfolk County Council Staff AC has closed Easton Lake at the Easton Agricultural College.

• The EA have closed the Cut Off Channel and Relief Channel until the end of the season.

• Mow Cop and District AC waters are closed until further notice.

• Collingham Angling Association have closed all their waters on the Tidal Trent. These extend from Cromwell Weir to Besthorpe (320 pegs).

• Wigan and District AA have closed the whole of the Heapey complex of reservoirs, near Chorley and the association controlled stretches of the Rivers Ribble, Douglas, Wyre and Winster.

• Threemilestone Angling Club, Cornwall, has stated that they will close all waters when they receive a request from local farmers.

• Northwich AA has shut the River Weaver above Vale Royal Locks.

• Warrington AA has closed all association rivers and also Sandiway Lake, Budworth Mere and Astle Pool. The Stockton Heath Parish Council has allowed the Ackers Pit fishery to remain open due to the extreme circumstances.

• Loughborough Soar AC has imposed a total shut down on all its waters.

• Birmingham Anglers Association has closed all their rivers until further notice. Also shut are Mythe Pool, Stubbs Pool and Apperley Pools. All canals remain open and clubs with contests booked on rivers should transfer them to canals.

• Carshalton and District Angling Society has closed its water on the River Mole, River Eden and Bury St Austen's Lakes.

• British Waterways have stopped angling on its commercial stillwaters, including Earlswood Lakes, Drayton Reservoir, Boddington Reservoir, Clattercote Reservoir and Stockton Reservoirs. Restrictions have also been put on all BW canals in Cheshire. These include the Trent and Mersey, Caldon, Peak and Potteries, and Shropshire Union Canals.

The Grand Union Canal between Milton Keynes, through Northampton up to the A43, the Grantham Canal, and the Kennet and Avon Canal between Pewsey and Bradford upon Avon have also been closed.

• Ulverston AA has closed the Clay Dump, Ulverston Canal, Sandhall Ponds, Knottallow Tarn, and the beat on the River Crake.

• Christchurch AC has closed all its fisheries. These include the Avon at Ibsley on the Somerley Estate and the Ringwood Fishery. Somerley Lakes and Golden Springs are also closed.

• Milton Keynes AA has closed the following waters: Adams Mill, Ravenstone Mill, Gayhurst Meadow, Tyringham & Long Meadow (Tove off Castlethorpe Road), Wolverton Mill balancing lakes, hitings (River Ouse Galleon aqueduct to Haversham railway viaduct) and the River Ouzel from H9 to H6.

• Kendal and District Angling Club: Banks Pond and Witherslack Hall Tarn.

• Thorley A.S. (Stoke-on-Trent) has closed all waters.

• Windermere and District Angling Association: All waters closed

• London AA has closed all it's fisheries until further notice, with the exception of the Grand Union Canal around London.

• Glamorgan Anglers Club has closed the following waters: The River Wye - Monmouth and Biblins, The River Usk - Chainbridge, The River Ely, The River Taff- Radyr stretch only, Llantrithyd Lake, St-y-Nyll Pond, Pysgodlyn Mawr.

• Ringwood AC has closed all their waters, including their stretches on the Hamapshire Avon and Dorset Stour.

• Plymouth and District and Plymouth Command Angling Association have closed all waters.

• All Wansbeck and Cramlington Angling Club waters - Brenkley, Milkhope, Horton Grange and the QEII - are closed until further notice.

• Environment Agency has also announced that all fishing waters in its ownership will be closed to the public until further notice.

• Barnet and District Angling Club have closed the following: River Ivel at Blunham, London Colney - Broadlakes, London Colney - Lowbell Lane, Shepherds Way Lakes, River Thames at Sonning, River Windrush at Oxon, River Ouse at Ham Barn, Blunham and Spinney Blunham, River Loddon at Twyford and the gravel pits at Twyford.

• All Ramsey AC waters.

• All Whittlesey AA waters.

• All Yaxley, Facet, Holme and District AC waters.

• All Middle Level waters.
