Spotted this in the back garden today close to the pond, perhaps contemplating suicide??

Looks like a cat attack. If the cats teeth penetrated the skin it'll probably die of septicemia in 48hrs so no need for suicide...

Probably just an over amorous male.

Had on in our garden but not quite as bad.
