dean,

Some years ago (1970's) I was in the same boat with flavorings (I refuse to waste perfectly good "u's" on words such as flavourings since I'm across the pond). Finally I found a "list" would suffice. My list is now 67,943 (it includes commercial bait products) and growing. Maybe you should just start a list?

What are you doing with all those boilies?

I use 2 or 3 flavours and onw of them Richworth Esterberry I have been using for years. I like to stick to a few baits I have confidence in.

Stephen

Be careful Dave, you'll be onto the Mung beans before you know it, and there's no way back after that.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

I have been catching on Nash formula one for a few years and have quite a few in the feezer + a few kilos of shelf life formula 1 + dunbells in the cupboard. I did buy a kilo of The source this year and have half a bag left. I also carry tubs of dunbell tutti frutti, cell, kg1 and trigger, I also have a few of each in various glugs.

Pop up wise the Formula one have a small bag in each pack, I have source in three sizes which were given to me by a mate and carry a tub of solar Jacko specials (bright orange dunbells).

I generaly fish a bottom bait or snowman style bait over a pva bag of mixed size and type pellet with a few crushed boilies or a stick mix as on the waters I fish I have found this works better than putting in loads of freebies.

I start with a different bait on each rig and will chop and change until I get a run, then I will use the same type on both rods.

From my match fishing I have learnt that fish want different baits on different days or even at different times of the day - its just a case of finding out what.

I have had a good few fish on a single Jacko special cast to crashing fish or fished in a few shallow far bank margin patrol route spots in the middle of the day.

PS: I think you are nuts :P Have you tried nuts or particles yet,? Plenty to choose from out there.
