Saw a similar thread recently on another site, it seems that Avon "Woodland Fresh" dry oil spray is the "dogs whotsits" when it comes to repelling bugs, Yes, even the dreaded Scottish Midge!!

Yep. That's us. You're not alone in your mistaken assumption. We had quite a few trips to Chesil last summer and most gentlemen fishing nearby thought two women setting up camp, rods etc had to be lesbians. We do love each other dearly, as best friends should. This year our future husbands will be fishing with us, so still no need for 'artificial' handwarmers!

Hope Mrs. Tyke will appreciate her new role.

Some simple precautions

 

1. Don't wear colours around the yellow spectrum

 

2. Don't splash on aftershave or any sort of body perfume.

 

3. Don't wear flowery clothing (hippies beware)

 

4. Use a repellent, such as jungle formula, and take some with you as it is not effective all day.

 

5. Sit the other half nearby using 1,2,3 and no 4
