Well, it might help to get things going again if Scoobs (or whoever) could let us know how many "definites" there are, and - importantly - how many places are left: I could get quite a few people on board, but without knowing the numbers, it's diffcult to generate interest (speaking from experience here!)

You find that sort of "I won't put my name down in case there's no spaces left" mentality creeping in, and things just fizzle out.

Just look above at Mike from Dunblane's posting: I know he's dead keen (I'm the "Keith" in his posting, and we both really enjoyed the last IAC Northern fish-in), but he's asking the exact questions I am.

Without "deadlines and targets", things just don't happen - fish-ins included! biggrin.gif

hi all i'm back.

i'v hit a slight snag .

carleton hill is out as a venue frown.gif

but i had a word with sid who owns oakbank at longtown (an extra 10 miles north) smile.gif

there are 2 ponds we can fish, one is a mixed pond "bream roach tench carp"etc

the other is just big carp (there was a 24lb one out last week)

bivvies are ok and so is night fishing.

there are even caravans available on site ,

so same dates 4th & 5th of august.

is everybody still coming ??????

as for numbers up to 15 shouldnt be a problem.

sorry bout the venue change but unavoidable

Hi Scoobs

Is this the place??? http://www.huntingtonsguide.co.uk/england/cara/oak.htm

A quick search with google brought up quite a few other web pages.

What is the max number that can turn up and how many have actually, definitely said yes so far? I'm interested in one of the days and could probably be flexible if one of the days is oversubscribed.

cheers

Mike
