Just wondering how you would rig up for conditions like these.

6 ounce gripper lead, cast slightly uptide , letting out a bow of slack line.

I might possibly tie my rod to the pier railings........... if it got a bit windier.

Well I'd use a similar tactic but I'd probably tie MYSELF to the pier...and I'd wear a nice hat.

Well I met one guy who got it right. I once drove up to a local beach in the middle of a cyclone here. It wasn't a very bright thing to do, but I wanted to see what the ocean looked like in a storm like that. While I was watching it - and it really was awesome - a van pulled up beside me with ready rigged rods on the roof rack. I rolled down my passenger side window as the guy got out of his van and hung onto it so that he didn't get blown away. He looked across at me and said, "Sod it, you can't bloody fish in that". He got back into his van and drove away! Perhaps he lacked a bit in commitment! :confused:
