Marshmallows

Just read a post about carp on top, where someone suggested that marshmallows were too big unless you were targetting fish of 15lbs plus.

If you go to the supermarket you can get mini-marshmallows from where all the cake mixes are displayed. These are much smaller and work a treat! There lovely on top of your hot chocolate too!!

No, but the carp lobve them more.

They will work a treat. Anything sweet works in summer and most things work on top.

Thanks for the idea. I bought some today and tried them. I've got to say the carp preferred the dog biscuits, but after a while they did take the mini marshmallows too, and these were far easier to see as light fell.

An added bonus of these is the hook can be buried inside for the more wily fish, and because the marshmallows are soft, hooking isn't a problem!
