MrWiggly Final report.

Hello everyone.

I have just received word from the specialists at the hospital that Mr Wiggly will be released tomorrow (Thursday), and I can collect him in the afternoon.

His stay was extended by a few days because the physiotherapists had to impress upon him to “slow down” because he was trying too hard, and too fast. As they put it “Trying to run before he could walk” ! He will have to make frequent visits to the physios for some time.

He will still have to use the wheelchair when he becomes tired on the crutches, but my guess is that it will not be long before that chair is thrown on the scrap heap !!

The specialists and surgeons have expressed their surprise and delight at the speed of his recovery, and at the resilience and determination that he has shown considering his age, and have described him as a “model patient”. They have even awarded him a “I was good at the hospital today” badge !!

My grateful thanks to you all for your messages, and to the “backroom boys” for their kind assistance. I shall now leave it to MrWiggly to sort out the mess I have left behind !

I have been genuinely surprised by the kindness and camaraderie shown to Danny and myself on Anglersnet. I did not realise that Danny had so many worldwide friends !! Thank you all so much.

So lock up your daughters and man your watchtowers. MrWiggly is loose again !!

Thank you all for your kindness once again.

Susan (Mrs Wiggly)

I delight to hear that news. :sun:

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.

That is excellent news Susan, no doubt it will not be long before he's lugging his gear down to the nearest water for a days' fishing. Thanks for keeping us updated :)

Delighted to hear he is making such good progress and will be unleashed soon. Please give him my best wishes.

If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.
