best reasons to go fishing/excuses

i am having trouble getting to go fishing with the missus wanting me to either look after the kids or take her out(she cannot drive).

so this has prompted me to ask what storys or excuses you come up with if you have a problem getting away?

"Oh I will be only gone a few hours you wont notice me gone mum, err leave me the washing up or something to do when im back!"

 

By saying this it tends to keep her happy 9 times out of 10!

I took up rock drumming and now I can go fishing whenever I pick up my drum sticks...

either i go fishing for a day or i go on the pop for the weekend, i will finish the patio/decorating/carpet laying, or anything that needs a steady head/hand, when i get back.
