No, I have to respond in terms he'll understand.

Naaah you're on the ropes, nothing to say apart from an insult or two.

Naaah you're on the ropes, nothing to say apart from an insult or two.

The only insult is yours to a thinking person's intelligence. 1)You made a statement about me that could only be valid had you known me - and didn't retract it.

2)I notice you still lack the decency to admit that you were less than correct over the BBC / Fearon thing. Just because it isn't popular, doesn't make it right.

I pointed out your error of fact and you haven't the courtesy to acknowledge that you were conducting an argument that factually wrong.

3) I accused you of hypocrisy, gave prima facie evidence, which you neither acknowledge nor disprove. Taking the 5th? Moral cowardice.

Just for once acknowledge that you are wrong about something, I'd give your arguments credibility, as it is, the suspicion of falsehood hangs over you like a pall.

At least this passed the boring bits at work, so I suppose you have served your purpose.

......and that took you over an hour and a half to come up with ?

I'll concede one thing....its neat. Sign of a tidy mind Alan.

I note the concession doesn't address the material issues. And no proof from you that I was wrong.

In between actually doing what I am actually paid to do, I made my point clearly, logically and concisely. You might try that one day. In your case you may find it helpful to stand up and take the weight off your brains - you never know, your speech may also be clearer.

Oh well, time to go home. Good night all.

"I made my point clearly, logically and concisely."

Alan, that may be your opinion, it may be not be one that is universally supported.

Nice to see the sparkling repartee from Graham again!! Shame he didn't attempt to answer my question about the angling ethos but I suppose that would be too much to ask.

Me, I'm going fishing tomorrow (going to give that 30 a try) Once I've caught it I'll tell everyone where it is (except Graham!)

The last thread went to 6 pages, what odds would you give this one?

Dave Olley

Its fizzling out Dave. Peter's still buried in back copies of AT with magnifying glass at the ready and slodger's on the outside of a decent bottle of Merlot.

"sportsman":- I'd say the odds will be much longer on you ever understanding what comprises the angling of today, and how things evolved into three..

"Peter 'Cadfael' Waller"..

:D That is quite amusing.

BWAAAAAAAAAHAHA!

Perhaps Obergruppenführer R.G. Bargie is having a last flash of lucidity before slipping back into that dreamlike ignorance of senility that he always displays so well, and the nurse comes and changes his feed?
