I think you are being unfair on the guy.

He's offering up his time and expertise for free.

He may not be the 'new' TV presenter who will sweep the ratings but then he is just young. Maybe one day...

A good example of the benefits of new media and the chance for everyone to have their say.

He was an old man who fished alone in a skiff in the Gulf Stream and he had gone eighty-four days without taking a fish. (Hemingway - The old man and the sea)

Being deaf, I couldn't hear the commentary, so this is based on visual impact only.

1. Someone should buy him a tripod for his birthday.

2. Things will get better when he is tired of playing with the zoom function.

3. He needs to realise you can't video and fish at the same time ! There was a point where I said "the float's gone !" and he was still videoing for ages after that.

4. He needs a new set of scales

I forgave most of the mistakes when we saw how young he was. Far from knocking his efforts, I would say he needs encouragement and some input from an experienced angler.

With a tripod, a good fishing mate, and a bit of guidance, who knows where he might finish up ?

Rudd you are being harsh.

I enjoyed it and found it's faults and his commentary rather amusing. How could you not like not bothering for the Carp "because they would be to hard" or the Carp sticking there backs out of the water to stay cool. I thought it was great stuff

Nice Crucian and nice to hear he got a Tench after so many videos. Glad to see a young chap enjoying his fishing. I look forward to when he starts his Big Carp series.

He is just a kid having a go, it's not that bad as to be picked out as a 'worst ever' . He is displaying his enthusiasm for fishin', there may be technical faults and some of his practice might need polishing up. However I say to him, well done for having a go . Constructive criticism is one thing, but posting him up here to be ridiculed is bad work. There are professionals who offer us film entertainment in all genres which is rubbish and they get money for it!

Spot on Emma and Dales, I've been videoing for years, and you should see some of my early stuff :(

Very entertaining stuff.

Sorry but its the worst I (as in me myself and I) have ever seen in terms of film quality, dialogue and knowledge of the subject and I am sticking to my title.

I did enjoy watching the two episodes as I found them amusing hence why the link was titled ENJOY and tonight I will watch the rest.

I wasnt having a dig at the guy in a nasty way hence my comment:

"Ok - I dont want to sound nasty but this lad needs some serious lessons in both filming and fishing"

Yes its good that he is making an effort but before attempting to make a film I am saying it would be a good idea to gain some angling experiance so he has at least half a clue as to what he is talking about, have a plan on what he is going to film and say talk about and how he will break up/edit the film.

Now, my way of looking at how other people fish is - If they are happy with what they are doing let them get on with it hence my signature line the bottom "Different floats for different folks".

BUT fish welfare is a big issue and if the angler was not an adolesent I am sure most of you would have been screaming during the what he descibed as a screaming run clip.

He took way to long to pick up his carp rod fishing in what looked like a snaggy tight swim as he buggered about with whatever device he was filming with.

Luckily it was only a small fish of 3lb's (sorry 2lb no 2.5lb) :D

that did not power off into them lillies ;)

I look forward to some further slating
