Anyone looking to catch Big Perch thats willing to travel should try Loch Ken this Summer. The place is full of them. Yesterday whilst out on the boat fishing for Pike i put a worm over the side for fun and ended up with a barrow load. I fished 5 different areas and on every one Perch over one and a half pounds were boated. Altogether over 50 were caught with a dozen over 1lb.The biggest was 2lb 7oz and one over 3 was lost at the boat. Dont know if this has ever happened to anyone before but me and my mate both caught one at 1 and a half at the same time. Not to unusual you might think but we both had hooked the same fish! We were fishing in the same spot and the fish took both our hookbaits at the same time.Anyone else had a similar experience?
