Hi All

Rogue.IE Antivirus

MultiPass Recover

Zlob Trojan

180 Solutions.zango

CasinoOnNet

ibmsmyi.dll AntiSpyCheck

DmSetup.exe

I have lost my home page, every time I reset it after a while it returns to about. blank also nothing happens when I click on my Mcafee icon so I cannot do a virus scan

Also a tool bar has appeared.. Security Toolbar 7.1 it has a security level of 4 which is non adjustable the only other things on the toolbar are 2 buttons 1 is block adware/popups and the other is remove antispyware if you click this one Mcafee Siteadvisor warns that this site Wav2008.com is rated as a red site

Now a Yahoo toolbar has been installed and I have been refusing access for this to happen

Can anyone help me please

Go get spybot free via the web http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html run it and let it clean what it can

use add remove programs and remove all add on toolbars - some will require specialist removal procedures as they embed themselves but freely getable via the web

Imo mcaffee sucks i use spybot and nod32 and windows own firewall and am always clean

contact via pm for sendable software solutions ;)

possibly macafee blocking it - there is NO valid reason why spybot should not install on any system

IMO delete macaffee and spydoctor reboot and try again, once on your pc run it let it clean, then run it again and let it immunize

Check the hosts file as some viri/trojans edit this file to stop you downloading/visiting certain sites

smitfruad fix clears that out.

try this direct link for spybot here]

as for the other software being disabled ? can you explain in more detail

oh yeah and use firefox if you havnt got it already, when you have adware on your computer like you have, using internet explorer after getting rid of one or two of them just make matters worse.

The easiest way to find it is to use the "Search" function, accessed from the Start button, and just search for files whose name contains the string "hosts". The directory the file is kept in depends on the operating system, on my XP desktop it is C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc

When the search finds it, double click it and then choose Notepad to open it (it is a text file). Have a look inside and it should just contain a few lines of comments (starting with # character) and then a single line that says

127.0.0.1 localhost

if there are any lines that say, for example

127.0.0.1 www.website.com

then any attempt to access the named website will be redirected to the local machine and so be blocked. This is a useful way of blocking advertising sites and it is also used by some of the dodgy gits to block the antispy/virus sites to prevent their data files being updated.
